Dee: In 1 Peter 5:8 we read, "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."
Playing with the ouija broad or magic-based role-playing games, using drugs, idolizing some rock stars who are satan worshipers, participating in witchcraft, seances or fortune-telling are some of the things that can pen individuals to demonic invasion.
Our interview today is with someone who has experienced a demonic invasion. Her experiences are not shared here to frighten you, but to caution us all
against participating in activities that are an abomination to the Lord. Remember, Jesus loves you and wants you
to turn your heart to him. There is victory in Jesus.
Hi Pat. Thank you for sharing with us today.
Pat: Hi.
Dee: What first happened in your life that seemed strange or different?
Pat: Yes. I would like to. It started back when my brother was killed and I was visited
by an apparition that presented itself to me in the form of my brother.
Dee: Did you believe in visitations from the dead?
Pat: Yes, I did.
Dee: Had you asked God to have your brother appear to you?
Pat: Yes, I had. It appeared to me three times as my brother and then it disappeared.
Dee: To you this was a good experience.
Pat: Yes it was. At that time I thought so. I believed that it was the Lord above letting me know
everything was OK. Shortly after that many strange things started happening. A burning sensation in my head, anger that was
uncontrollable whether I wanted to be angry or not. It was there.
Dee: How often did you have headaches after this apparition you thought was your brother appeared to you?
Pat: Constantly. It was like several hot pokers jabbing my brain constantly. Day and night, there was no relief for it.
Dee: What did you think caused your headaches?
Pat: I was told by doctors that it was tension.
Dee: Were there other unusual happenings?
Pat: Yes. I was visited by what I called at first my Friendly Ghost.
Things started disappearing out of my house. Then I started going back to church. And this ghost was
no longer friendly.
Dee: Tell me some of the behavior of this so-called friendly ghost.
Pat: I'd pour my cup of coffee, leave it a few moments. Then pick it up
to drink and it would be half gone. Sometimes when I was watching TV I would see an indentation appear
on the couch as if someone was sitting there. Another time, I had put chips on the table. I was going to make fudge.
I couldn't get it made, so I hollered to my friendly ghost, "If you're hungry, there are chocolate chips on
the the table. If you're real hungry, make the fudge for me." Then I left the house. When I came back the chocolate chips
were completely gone. The package had been neatly opened.
Dee: Had any humans been let at home while you were gone?
Pat: Nobody. I enjoyed the antics of my friendly ghost until I started going to church and then things
changed, he wasn't so friendly anymore. He started harassing my children, attacking my little nephew, attacking me....
Dee: In what way was he attacking?
Pat: My nephew saw a black apparition with red eyes coming at him. My dogs would growl and
look like they were trying to attack something in mid-air, constantly trying to protect the children.
Dee: Were there certain areas of the house where this happened more?
Pat: Downstairs. I don't know why there, but the dogs became afraid of
the area where the children's bedrooms were. The children also became afraid of that area. I removed the children to a different sleeping area.
My one said "someone was there" that he couldn't see. And then, one night the boys were watching TV in their bedroom. I heard
them scream as they ran toward the steps. They said a large black hand had come at them. The dogs were attacking
the space where the boys saw the unfriendly black hand. I saw a whiteness surround the children and lift them up the stairs to me.
Dee: What about the smoke alarms?
Pat: They went off constantly. At first I thought it was the batteries,
so I put new batteries in but they continued going off, lacking 12 seconds of being a minute apart. This
went on for hours, so we removed the batteries completely. But they continued to go off hours at a time.
Dee: Were you afraid? What did you do?
Pat: I began to call on God and started to go to church even more.
The more I searched for God the worse the situation became in the house.
Dee: What happened to the smoke alarms when you hung up the crucifixion in the house?
Pat: They went crazy. They no longer beeped but were constantly screeching.
Dee: Your husband was away in the service and a friend of his offered to come to your home
to see if he could help you. What happened then?
Pat: When he entered the child's room, he was slugged in the stomach and flew
backwards into the family room. We couldn't see what hit him. It was an invisible force.
Dee: At that point you told me he started having problems, too?
Pat: He went into my daughter's bedroom where he saw what looked
like my brother standing before him. He told this apparition that he wouldn't allow it to hurt me or the
children. The next thing I knew he was engulfed by a blackness and thrown up against a wall. I called on God and the blackness
disappeared, and he slid down the wall.
Dee: He was pinned against the wall until you called on God and released when you prayed?
Pat: Yes, and by this time he had a severe headache. The same kind as I had with the burning in the head.
Dee: You told me furniture was thrown across the room and
at a later time doors were closed so that even several people couldn't push them open, when someone on the other side seemed to be hurt. So you called on a pastor.
Pat: Yes. He told me that I was possessed, and I needed help. At first I didn't want to believe him.
When he came into the house, there was a war going on in my head. I had a strong feeling of hate for this man before I passed out.
Dee: Your friends say that while you were passed out
you growled with a low gutteral sound and you flung your arms out as if to do harm to him. Somebody caught
you and prevented it. Do you remember anything at this time?
Pat: I was in a dark, black abyss that was both cold and burning
at the same time. I felt severe pain like none on this earth. Then I was facing Satan himself. He said if
I would bow down and make him my god, I would never feel that pain again. Three times he told me that and
I spit in his face and called him a liar because I knew if I bowed down and made him my god, I would never leave
Hell. Then a beautiful golden light reached down and pulled me out of the blackness and told me my love for him, Jesus, had saved me.
Dee: During this time you sensed you were in the pits of hell, your pastor and friends
were praying for you and calling on the Lord Jesus Christ for your protection and your salvation.
Pat: I know that light that lifted me up was Christ.
Dee: The Bible tells us that God's power is greater than any other
power. Is your testimony today that God's power is greater than that of the devil and his demons?
Pat: I most certainly would. There was no other way to escape Satan and his demonic powers.
Dee: What would you say happened when you demanded that God send your dead brother to you?
Pat: I became possessed. There was a force within me
that caused me to say and do things that I really didn't want to do and say. That evil power within me
even made me want to kill my little girl.
Dee: Has that force or power left you?
Pat: Yes. When I called on Jesus to be my Lord and Savior.
Dee: Praise the Lord for your victorious demon-free
life and for your present witness to others about our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
